4C Winterberg e.V. & the Majlen Sunshine Race

We are 4C Winterberg e.V. – a non-profit club of mountain bike friends from the Hochsauerland. In 2022, when the long-standing MTB events in Solingen and Wetter were cancelled, we decided to step in and keep cross-country racing alive in our region.

The result is the Majlen Sunshine Race, first held in 2023, which finally brings XCO sport to Winterberg. From the very first edition the mayor of Winterberg – an avid cross-country mountain biker himself – has backed the idea, with the clear wish to continue it year after year.

Because experienced racers are part of our organising team, you can look forward to a genuinely challenging course set up in the Winterberg trail park, featuring elements of the “German Enduro Championship”.

But the Majlen Sunshine Race is more than a competition: on Saturday evening we host an after-race party at the Bremberg-Klause in the Winterberg ski resort, so that riders, families and helpers can celebrate together. Our mission is simple – help MTB-XCO sport thrive again.
