How and where do I register?

Registration is handled online via our partner time-and-voice.com. Use the “Register now” button anywhere on the site to sign up for your class. We recommend registering early, as the number of starting spots is limited.

When does the event take place?

The Majlen Sunshine Race takes place on Aug 08-09, 2026 in Winterberg. The detailed timetable with start times for every class can be found in the schedule section on the homepage.

Where is the race and where can I park?

The race is held in the Winterberg trail park, Am Waltenberg 115, 59955 Winterberg. Signposted parking is available near the venue – please follow the marshals’ instructions on the day.

Can I camp on site with my team?

Yes. We offer a dedicated team and camping area. Have a look at the Team/Camping page for the available space, facilities and how to reserve your spot.

Showers are available nearby. Located in Winterberg downtown. Open until 18:45 (closes 19:00) – no entrance fee. https://maps.app.goo.gl/uCUdrr3y36xpgbdJ9

What does the course look like?

Expect a genuinely challenging cross-country course of around 4.1 km with about 190 hm of elevation per lap, including elements of the “German Enduro Championship”. See the course section for the elevation profile.

Is there food and drink at the venue?

Yes – there is catering on site throughout the event. The Bremberg-Klause in the Winterberg ski resort serves food and drinks.

About the race

Welcome to our race

The Majlen Sunshine Race has been taken place for the first time in 2023. XCO sport is finally making its way to Winterberg in the Hochsauerland sports region!

How did it come about? In 2022, it was announced that the MTB events in Solingen and Wetter would not take place. In order to support the long-standing MTB series XCO-NRW-Cup and also 3-Nations-Cup in their continued existence, some mountain bike friends decided to organise a race in Winterberg.

Set up in the Winterberg trail park, our 4.1 km cross-country lap packs punchy climbs and fast, technical descents – including the “Enduro Downhill” and the long “Endless Trees Uphill”, with elements of the German Enduro Championship. Here is the shape of a lap:

A mountain bike race in a magical place for many. Winterberg has been loved by mountain bikers from the Netherlands for years. Being able to race there now in great conditions is, in my opinion, a reward for the success of the 3 Nations Cup.
